Complex biofeedback system «Kinesis»
Complex biofeedback system “Kinesis” is a modern psychophysiologic training system for treatment of different
functional derangement which can be observed during patient suffers from different kinds of the nervous system, the locomotor system and the cardiovascular system disorders, and psycho emotional disorders as well.
The system enables carrying out the next types of correction:
Psycho emotional correction on the base of brain biopotentials registration and interpretation.
Training of the locomotor system and muscular movements on the base of EMG registration and interpretation.
Correction of psycho vegetative state on the base of statistical calculation of heart rate parameters.
The system enables biofeedback training on the basis of electromyography, electroencephalography, Heart Rate Variability (RR - intervals) signals. The device is capable of learning practices within these separate signal groups. The analyzer «Kinesis» is used for biopotentials registration and allows carrying out correction on the base of four EEG channels, two EMG channels and one Heart Rate Variability (HVR) channel. The analyzer is connected with a personal computer through the USB data interface unit.
The software for the complex biofeedback system is presented as a collection of computer acoustic and visual acts which were designed in a game form. A patient can influence on these acts by changing of physiological parameters of his functional condition (level of brain activity, muscle tension, pulse parameters etc.). During a controlling process a patient should find «normal positive result» which will be displayed on a computer screen in an understandable and comfortable form and inform a patient about changing of functional parameters of an investigated organ (muscle, brain, heart).

The software of the "Kinesis" biofeedback system requires the Windows 7/8/8.1/10 environment. The biofeedback
system software is user-friendly that is its main feature. There are no other requirements for operating with the software for a doctor except to being computer literate. The program is operated simultaneously by a doctor in the researcher mode and a patient in the subjects mode. There is an option of using of two screens with one device. In this case a doctor operates main screen and with own mode, also a patient operates another screen.
A researcher can analyze registered index while training and extract so called “condition model” from tested
person (referred to cerebrum-alfa-or beta-indexes, referred to heart – stress index, mid-value RR), expose successful result condition, correct it, choose and start game situation. Then training starts for a patient. A patient manages opponents in game by training parts, trying to achieve success result. Besides managing game situations you can control volume level reflected in monitor static and dynamic video. Also you can control noise loudness level of accompanying sound by various melodies.
A games situation increases the level of patient receptivity to represented information and patient motivation to
training especially for children.
It is possible to institute one time therapy or a course of treatment. An in-built expert system allows a doctor to
study patient possibilities and to perform training according to this information.
An EMG biofeedback system is usually applied to treat a motor function and neuromuscular disorders.
An EEG biofeedback system enables correcting neurodynamic parameters of cerebral cortex bioelectric activity
within brain zones, involved in a pathologic process. Learning procedure is based on EEG spectral estimation. There is also an expert system that estimates bioelectrical activity of a person undergoing medical treatment. It is the main different between our biofeedback system and systems produced by other firms that “Kinesis” has in-built “technical biofeedback system” which produces light cycling impulses in dominant frequency spectrum of patient brain EEG rhythms which is adopted by brain within relaxing. It increases quality of psychorelaxation achievement, its degree and intensity.
An ECG biofeedback system is applied to correct psycho vegetative parameters that are picked up on the basis of
statistical calculation of RR – interval parameters that is formed during ECG registration, R- identification and R - time gap detection.
